About

Contemporary Art Stavanger consists of an online art journal as well as a physical residency program for critics, writers and researchers. Through our work, we aim to contribute meaningful conversation relevant to the Stavanger region’s art scene, while at the same time connecting the content to a larger national and international discourse – we therefore publish in both Norwegian and English. In addition to reviews, essays, and interviews, we explore the expansive possibilities of CAS’ online platform and investigate different ways of working with writers, residencies, and the format of art writing and criticism. We at CAS are dedicated to presenting a wide range of perspectives, voices, and subject matter. Read more

Biolab workshop No2 / Let`s go Transgenic!

May 4, 2017 @18:00 - 21:00 CEST Workshop

About

———————————————
The second workshop at Biolab is just around the corner – come join us in the lab where we will create transgenic organisms together.
Biolab invites to a series of workshops where we hope to open up your minds by demystifying science, introduce creative practice and let you have some hands on experiments. Our lifescience researcher Ed Asare accompanied with artist Hege Tapio will lead you through the evening. This evening will be followed up after two days so that you may see the result of what you have created. Come join a glowing experience!

Biolab is an open laboratory and workspace for project development, artistic research and learning facility. Biolab seeks to foster engagement to artistic research and projects involving science. By offering knowledge we want to give a better understanding to how technology is affecting our lives – on a practical level, and to all the ethical and moral questions it may raise.
