Spatial installations
The starting point for Laila Kongevold’s work is often a curiosity for a specific place or material. The room forms the framework for process work that alternates between the intuitive and the planned. The visible is often combined with smelling experiences or sound.
The installations consist of assemblies of objects. Often put in combination with objects that have been found and collected over time.
Thematically, she often looks for paradoxes at the crossroads between religion, science and art.
